Go me!

Well WW weigh in last night gave me a 1.1kg loss bringing my WW weight to 74.7kg! Happy with that. My next mini-goal is 72.4kg which gives me my 30kg loss and then of course, 71kg. I am a little bummed because I had a brief thought of entering WW Slimmer Of The Year competition, but entries close May 12, and there is no way I can lose 3.7kg then do 6 weeks maintenance to get to goal by then! :( Bummer. Maybe next year!

I am thinking I want to become a 60s girl too....so that is another possible goal (when I say 60s, I mean 69.9kg hehehe)

I had my personal training session tonight, but to step it up a bit, I did my body attack class before (minus the last part, had to save my energy). Wow....hr long body attack class folowed by 20 minutes of absolute agony (although presented in a niiiiiiiiiice package ;)) has left me dreading the next few days and the soreness to come!

Luckily, we have a public holiday here in Toowoomba tomorrow for our show. Taking the kiddles along for a bit and then will come home. Gym is closed tomorrow so if it isn't raining(forecast says it might), we will go for a family walk in the evening and I will do my runs in that too.

I am going to show you the results mainly in digiscrap form :) But in 12 weeks, I lost 7.8kg and a total of 47cm off my bod!!

Size 12!!!

I have been able to fit into some size 12 pants, but it really depended on the make. My personal goal was to be able to walk into any shop (bar the little girl stores like Supre) and grab a size 12 and be able to put it on. Well I had to go shopping for some new togs today to wear in my AFTER pic for the challange (the ones I wore for the before are way too big now! ). SO I went to Myers (as Target didn't have any!!) and went and picked up a bikini and matching skirt in size 12. Out of habit, I grabbed the next size up to fall back on (in this case a 14). Went into the change room and I didn't even need to try th 14 on! THE 12 FIT!!!

I kinda thought the bottoms would have, but I haven't even TRIED to buy size 12 tops lately because even at my slimmest, my boobs were still huge and I needed 14s (as well as my arms). I just about died when the top fit too (I thought I would have to do some creative swapping and see if I could sneak the 14 top with the 12 bottoms ) BUT.... it all fit! I turned and turned and looked at every angle to make sure I wasn't kidding myself and I think I got a glimpse of what I actually look like. I HAVE LOST WEIGHT!! I am no longer the size 16 (or maternity clothed) person I was. I am actually a size 12.

I came home and showed my DH and he was panting at me! He said he could see that I was thinner, so it wasn't a total shock for him, but he said to Charlotte "Look at mummy. Look how skinny she is!"

I weighed in this morning and was 74.4kg. (needed to for a different challenge I am doing) so that is less than 3.5kgs to go! Now if only I was on the Biggest Loser this week and I could lose that in a week! Anyway....sorry if I raved, but I THINK it is starting to sink in that I have lost weight and am looking thinner!

I have also bought the book "I Can Make You Thin" by Paul McKennar today and can't wait to get into it and try the hypnosis dvd!

YEEEEEEOUCH! Personal Training Session

O. M. G!!! I can barely lift my arms at the moment. I have been home for 15minutes and my arms are DEAD! I had my first PT session this evening. My trainer, Brook was really good and pushed me so hard on the weights. I am going to do the session weekly I think.

Weighed in this morning for the LITS challenge and was 75.8kg. Gotta keep that off for WW weigh in tomorrow night!!!

Gym Program

I finally booked in to get my gym program done tonight. Nothing new really as I have been to gyms before and know the machines well. The guy who went through the program with me is also a personal trainer, so when he was asking me my goals, I told him about having 5 (YES 5!!!) kgs to go til I was at WW goal and how I want to run the 4km Mother's Day Challenge in May. Anyway, he was hugely impressed with my 26.4kg weight loss since July and has given me a complimentary personal training seesion.

I have the session on Monday evening for 30 minutes and he told me to not do my weights this weekend as he wants me to be FRESH for the session on Monday. Oh dear....what have I got myself into? I had told him that I am really interested in the personal training as it was my next reward when I got to 75kg (which is 1kg away). IF I get that next weigh in, I will be HUGELY surprised.

I am doing speed intervals at the moment on the treadmill and am really getting fitter with that. The body attack class is bloody hard work, so I don't want to drop that. I know I need to up the stakes to lose these last 5kg.

Funny, I am watching the Biggest Loser and watching these people work out 4 hours a day and eat well and they are only losing about 1kg a week now (not looking at the men). What hope di I have to lose around .5-1kg a week if I am doing a smidgen of that exercise (40-60mins, 4-5times a week) and eating well? A little depressing to be honest.

I really just want to get rid of this last bit of weight. Any suggestions on what I can do?

TJ's MRI results and WW weigh in

I will start with my WW weigh in. I seriously was thinking that I would have put on this week. I weighed in NAKED for the LITS challenge on Monday and had put on 400g, so to weigh in CLOTHED in the evening and lose 1.1kg I was stoked! So I am now 76kgs! (according the WW scales) that leaves me with 5kgs to go to goal.

I really need to kick it up a notch for these final 5kgs. I know they will probably be the hardest to lose. I have been doing well at the gym and have my program assessment on Thursday. I have been going to the Body Attack classes and they KILL. They had a new soundtrack/choreography last night and I actually got a stitch!! hehe.

I am also back into training for the Mother's Day Classic on the 14 May. 4km run. I WILL be able to do it. I am going to enter online this week (once it is up) and then that will motivate me more.

Now onto the results of TJ's MRI:
We had the pediatrician's appointment this arvo to discuss TJ's MRI results. I am going to be VERY lazy and just copy from an email I sent to TJ's godmother:The ped said that the damage was probably done early pregnancy. A blood vessel was blocked and no oxygen made it to that part of the brain. He siad that the damage is minimal, but shows that it being on the right side, the arm is effected on the left. He said that the leg is very minimally effectd and at the worst, he may develop a slight limp as it could be weak. Doesn't know about the arm, said that some babies improve and as he is already showing signs of improvement he should do well.We have to see him again in 6 months. He did say that while there are only limited ped phsyios in Tba, he said the physios at the hospital (St Vinnies) work with kids all the time too. So he gave us a referral to look into that (as OT through the CP league will only be once a month).Soooo...all good, we think!!

What 8 months looks like~





I have always had problems working out how to post in here with my pics. I use snapfish a lot to upload my pics, but they are never compatible with the blog. So I went to photobucket this time.
I wanted to show you all what 8months looks like in the weight loss stakes. We had family pics taken June 05 when TJ was 4 weeks old and then had them taken 2 weeks ago when he was 9 months old. It shows about 27kg WL with me. (Also a way to show off my babies!!) I am also adding my new favourite pics of TJ and Charlotte :)
